There is so much to do in Cornwall it is hard to know where to start! Below I have focused on a few activities we have enjoyed as a family with young boys ages 6 & 12 but there is much much more. There are many beautiful beaches such at Crantock Beach and Godrevey Beach, both National Trust, which are two of our favorites, but this area of the north coast there are too many great sandy beaches to mention.
The Eden project is only a 50-minute drive and there are some great National Trust Properties including Trelissick Gardens which is only a 20-minute drive form us. Well worth becoming a member of the National Trust if you are not already as you get free parking at NT beaches.
There are some great pubs and eateries including our local, The Miners Arms in Mithian which is a 30-minute walk from us and well worth a visit.
There are some of the best surf beaches up and down the coast only a few miles away. The nearest being at Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes with Surf Breakers. Tom Roberson owns Breakers Surf School and is also the head coach, with over 15 years of surf coaching experience and having grown up surfing in Cornwall, he will make sure his team help you get the most from your surf lesson.
Other great surfing beaches nearby are Perranporth and of-course Newquay with a number of great surfing beaches.

BIKING & CYCLE HIRE
Coastal Trails Cycle Hire is based here at Wrinklers Wood so you can book a bike which will be ready for you to explore the surrounding area on your arrival.
There are many great cycle routes around St Agnes all marked with blue cycle signs. There is also the Mineral Trail which starts close by at Scorrier, or head to Tehidy Woods.
Based just outside St Agnes is Goonbell Riding Centre offering lessons for children and adults, hacks & treks, pub hacks and summer picnic rides. The centre is staffed by experienced and friendly instructors to help you with horse riding lessons. All staff are DBS checked and they have a fully-trained first aider on duty with all other instructors having received basic first aid training.
Based in St Agnes is Koru Kayak they run guided tours of the north coast and on Frenchman's Creek on the Helford River. Both trips are excellent and well worth it. They have two man kayaks so great for taking the children with you to explore the hidden coves and dramatic cliffs around the coast.
