There is nothing quite like ditching the car and getting on your bike, or on one of our bikes., that you can hire from us. With some great beaches within only a few miles of Wrinkers Wood biking is a great way to have some family time, get the kids to exercise and avoid having to fight for a parking space at your favorite beach.

One great route I have taken my kids on is to head out from Wrinklers Wood and head towards Cligga Heads and Trevallas Porth which is a lovely little National Trust beach set at the end of un-spoiled narrow v-shaped valley leading to a pretty little cove. There is an excellent Tin mine visitor center called 'Blue Tin Mine' where they craft original jewelry from the local tin.

From Trevellas Porth you travel west up a steep hill and into St Agnes at Wheat Kitty and then down to Trevaunance Cove a beautiful cove set under a steep cliff. Adjacent to the beach is a great restaurant called Schooners, that offers not only excellent food but a superb view over the cove, A great spot for a sun-downer drink. There also a ice cream shop and a great pub called the Driftwood Spas that has it's own mirco-brewery attached to it.

From Trevaunance Cove head back into St Agnes and out through Goonbell and back to Wrinklers Wood along a quiet lane with only the odd car passing by, even in the busy summer months. This makes the whole journey good for a family cycle if you are worried, as I am, about the safety of my kids cycling on the roads.

We have many bikes on offer including electric bikes, for those who are not so used to cycling. We have great mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, kids bikes and even a tandem bike. I have complied a number of great cycle routes with map and directions taking you on quiet lanes and bridleways through the more interesting off-the-beaten areas you might otherwise miss when in a car.
